Do you have a link to the other end of this I-link system. My daughter,
KB2ROM, would like to give me a call from the East Coast!

HI Dale, and groups:

Your situation may be very common, so I will explain how your daughter may
communicate to you via Eric's machine.

She can 'connect' to Eric's computer once she registers as a licensed ham
operator, with I-link. Ham bonifides, are necessary because she is remotely
controlling a Ham Radio (repeater) Station. To do so, she has to go to the
Ilink website:

http://www.aacnet.net

And follow registration instructions.

Once registered, she simply has to log on to I-link from her computer back
east, (Assuming she has a sound card, mic, and speaker connected to her
computer) and select the ID code for Eric's machine, and connect to it.
Then she gives you a call, and if you are on, you answer just like a normal
UHF contact.

Good luck!
