[GVARC] Landscaping Opportunity@N6IJ

Folks,


The Watershed Institute at CSUMB has a crew of landscapers, that is willing 
to help us do the required native and non native plant management on the 
N6IJ Site.  The city of Marina has defined the most difficult task, that of 
pulling out Iceplant.  We have a large amount of it at N6IJ but the 
Watershed folks think that if we get a critical mass of people to the site, 
it might be done in a single day, maybe only a couple of hours... They have 
an opening in the schedule for their crew, a week from Saturday, 23 March.  
They propose a competition among scout groups to see which organization can 
pull the most iceplant that day.  We can plan a picnic/barbeque at the site 
on the same day.  We would like to invite any folks, organizations, 
especially scouts, that can, to come out a week from Saturday.  Check with 
me first before committing.  If not then, then we can reschedule another 
weekend date.
