Get your marinaides and salads ready...
Another super BBQ/Picnic at N6IJ  TENTATIVELY 24 August.
PLEASE RSVP, as we can accomodate about 30 to 40 persons at the
site, for a picnic and tour.

The occasion is the return of CSUMB At-Sea Program students from
their 2 month long Pacific Ocean Spanning Cruise on 19 August.

Various Media may be there to do coverage of the event, and the
Coast Weekly will probably be doing interviews for a story
there....
The Students will have quite some stories to tell, and we may have
local media covering the event. At this gathering you may also
familiarize yourself with our radio site, and see how we might
collaborate in future projects.
We have been having regular radio schedules with CSUMB students
aboard the Golden Bear training ship, from the Marina station,
evenings, and have been following them since they left Hawaii.
They so far have had stops in Honolulu, Fiji, Brisbane, Auckland,
Tahiti, and are now sailing for home port in Vallejo.  They return
to Vallejo on 19 August.  At this time, (8/1) they are about 900
miles north-east of Tahiti, about 3200 miles away from us.
