Hi all,

I wrote a little while back about the ASR-33 teletype that I'm trying to restore. From what I've read, they were made from the early 1960's to about 1975. (Please correct me if I'm wrong about the time period). I was curious, is there any way to find out when it was made, maybe from a serial number on the machine or something? I'm pretty sure it was made before I was even born!

I'm making a little bit of progress. A guy gave me the teletype, and it had just been sitting in his garage or backyard for years. It's in really rough condition. But after I've started to clean some of the parts, it's looking a bit better and it's not quite as bad as I thought. I did run into some problems though, but I'll ask about that later in another post.
