I have a virtually complete model 12 in what I would say is 'good' condition. It has everything except the platen crank rod which could be easily fabricated. Includes the table which is the original Western Electric table on floor shockmounts, and has the cover. I have the manuals.
The machine needs TLC; but not much else. It hasn't been lubricated in 40 years but the last time I checked it was not stuck.
Has SYNCHRONOUS motors both on the Keyboard Distributor and the Printer.
The machine is located in Valley Center, Ca. My one condition is that the acquirer have both the time and the skills to make the machine operational. I would say someone familiar with a model 15 could get this working in under a month (without disassembly or refinishing). I would like to see it running one day soon.
It is an old UPI machine and you can faintly see the UPI decal.
I will be in VC on Thanksgiving week.
Regards to all
