Welcome!

Just FYI, Model 43s are pretty rare and very collectible.

There are some neat reproduction serial terminals you can buy, and the silent 700 and similar hard copy terminals are easier to find.

Good luck!

Hello GreenKeys!

My name is Lillith, aka Infinidoge. I am a university student from
Georgia studying Computer Science at Purdue University in Indiana. Most
of my time is spent programming or tinkering with Linux, specifically
NixOS. I look forward to seeing the cool stuff you all do here :)

I've always been fascinated with typewriters and teletype machines, but
only recently have I realized I can apply my free will to look into
acquiring one. If anyone has a Model 43 KSR that needs a good home, I'd
be happy to take it off your hands. If you're within a few hours drive
of West Lafayette, Indiana, or Atlanta, Georgia, I can likely figure out
picking it up directly. That said, I will admit my limits. Most of my
time is spent on university work, so I don't think I could put in the
effort of a full restoration. With some help from the manuals and you
lovely people, I could do some repairs though. I have my eye on the
Model 43 specifically, as it being ASCII and supporting RS232C would
make it much easier for me to work with, particularly as I don't have
much experience with teletype at the moment.

The Model 33 also has my eye, however right now I don't think I have
anywhere I could reasonably store it, so that will be a quest for
another time.

If you have any leads on an M43, let me know, and I hope you have a nice
day!
