Serviced some of these weekly while at Western Union in Springfield, MA. They had re-ink bottles for the ribbons. I think they used a 6 level code, but not sure.

I do remember the purple fingers I came home with.

When I moved to Wichita, KS another tech serviced the older box style tickers for commodities market.

The Stock offices had Trans Lux or Trans Jet displays and I helped on the service of those.

The old gents that hung around the Stock offices all day were helpful with diagnosing troubles. I remember them wondering if the Dow Jones would ever get to 2000.
