You can easily place the carriage in any

position on a 15 and lock it there. For

example: to adjust the ribbon oscillator.

Operate the manual carriage return.The

carriage will be now be free to move

anywhere you want it. Then pull the

dashpot lever (that the carriage hits

on returning) and the carriage will

lock in place.

It has become second nature to me so

much that I had to do it and observe

every step.
