I have one of these in service.  It has a built in loop supply that can be directly wired to the keyboard/printer.  It can also use an external loop supply by disabling the internal loop (This is how I use mine now as it’s on a powered patch panel)

GKs,

Can the loop on the Flecher TU170 be connected directly to the selector magnets or does it need an external current limiting resistor?
I have the instruction manual but it is not clear to me.
Is the TU170 self limiting to 60mA?

Thanks,
-Steve
