  How do I know if my M15 is using a pulling magnet vs a holding magnet?

Why do the two variations exist?

I know my coils are in series and measure 110 ohms each.

The schematic for the holding magnet type says series coils are 0.020A (not 0.060A.)

I don't know if this  applies to pulling magnets and don't know which type I have.

Makes sense that series coils would draw less current all other things being equal.

So my loop needs to be 0.020A?

Guess I could do a test and see how many amps my coils pull in at.

Just thinking out loud.....Would a holding magnet type use some other method of doing the pull in?

Some mechanical link from the main shaft to pull the magnets in?
