If you did not get
a Teletypre M28 for Christmas, here is your chance:
-
The AWA Museum has an excess M28 RO in a floor
cabinet for sale. If no interest here, it will be listed on
Ebay / Craigs List.
The ESU looks like it was made by/for Western Union. There is
also a large selenium power supply in the base made by/for
Western Union. The cabinet has some dents/chips on the rear and
the message viewing glass is cracked, but otherwise, in good
condition. This floor mount is on wheels, so easy to move.
When I put power to it, the motor runs, but the printer runs
closed, even though there is no current in the selector magnet
(SM has been rewired with wires coming directly off the SM,
bypassing the ESU).
Unit located at the AWA Museum in Bloomfield (near Rochester),
NY. Pick-up only, but buyer will get a free tour of the AWA
Museum.
Please contact me off-line to make an offer or for more
information.
