Assuming the speed is correct and the Range Finder is set near 60 (only change it while receiving data), you may have stuck bits or a sluggish Selector Magnet armature.

What happens when you type repeated Blanks (00000) or repeated Letters (11111)?  (when you type to yourself, it won't matter what the motor speed is)

If you type on the keyboard while turning the motor by hand, you can watch the selector mechanism and the following levers in slow motion to see what is being decoded.

Do you have a manual?

Good luck,

Dear all,

I have been working on adjusting a model 19 printer mechanism (it is identical to the model 15), I have aligned the motor speed, and no matter how I move the side speed adjustment for the signal, it won't print RYRYRY, I have it set properly through MMTTY and I am at a loss for what could be wrong.

Has anyone had this issue, and if so how was it fixed?

Potential issues - The motor was aligned with a tuning fork of the correct VPS, but I may have done it wrong.
