Cecil,

Basic M26 manual is available at https://www.navy-radio.com/manuals/tty/jh/ttyman1/TeletypeManuals/model26/158B-Iss1-Feb38.pdf

Basic schematics:  https://www.navy-radio.com/manuals/tty/jh/bsps/bsp/pseries/p40.301.pdf

There are other M26 manuals at https://www.navy-radio.com/manuals-ttycorp.htm,  you just have to search for them.

The M26 originally came with a desk that held the paper roll on a hinged door. There was a horizontal rod hung low in the desk that the paper fed under, then up to the printer. This provided a long stream of paper that could be moved back and forth by the moveable platen.  There was also a metal tray that connected to the platen to help feed the paper into the platen.

I can send you pictures directly if you are interested.

Have fun & Good luck,

I am getting a model 26 and I have some questions. At sometime in the past the power and the signal cables were cut. I am looking for the wiring diagram or pics of where they go on the terminal strip at the machine. I also looking for some photos of the roll paper holder.
Thanks
