Well the wait begins.  I blew out a high voltage transistor and a 555 timer ic (I think) in my hal 5000.  Mean while in my mainline tt/l-2 I've made great progress and can now recieve an input but not key the loop.  Ironically that means they both have the same problem for different reasons.  So I'm out of action until parts show up.
