The plastic case is indeed fragile… but those machines will take quite a bit - when one considers they were intended to last only a short time with less than 2 hours per day usage.

Man those 33’s scare me.  I had one once and gave it to a young local ham who got it going.  Sometimes it feels like just looking at the thing will make it break 😬 (plastic and all)…..
