Yours has the typing reperforator sitting on a bracket above the XD.
The official Teletype arrangement was that the reperf sat on a little
stool with casters under the table. I don't think Teletype made that
bracket. However there is a BSP (Bell System Practices) that includes
drawings for making that kind of bracket of metal or wood. Seems like
a popular place to locate the reperf, although it makes the whole assembly
prety top-heavy. But gets the reperf up where it is easy to handle the
tape. Maybe the W.E. shop made the brackets, or maybe the telephone
office involved was to get them made locally.
You have a couple or more Model 19s with reperfs and you have the
elementary torn tape store and forward switching system.
