I have an old Remington Noiseless sitting over here on one of my shelves that i saved from the dump. Needs repair or a good cleaning. No place out here in this part of the country to get anything done with it. In a few years like me, it will probably go to the dump!
This place was not too far from my home. I stopped in 10 or more years ago and asked the guy if he knew anything about teletypes, and he said no. It's too bad he doesn't "do the internet" b/c I bet his business would've boomed, and he might've more easily found someone to take it over. My alma mater is in Rolla and I go back there to visit occasionally; it might be interesting to stop by and see the museum where these have been re-homed. I wonder if I could get those folks interested in TTY's? <g>
