At that range you probably can just use 40m during the day.  Do it on 7086 for 170hz shift or 7087 for 850hz shift.

Greetz Greenkeys!

In the next few days, I’d like to do some RTTY tests with a friend of mine in the Bay Area of California.  I am in Carson City, NV – about 150 miles east and somewhat north as the Crow flies (albeit a very energetic and aerodynamically efficient Crow) but of course over the Sierras.

What might be the ‘best’ time/frequency to have a sked?

I’ve had RTTY QSOs with him previously, and we were able to print each other fairly well.  I’m running an ICOM IC7300, and it might do about 50 or 60 watts into the end-fed longwire.  The ant is oriented roughly north-south, so it should be fine for the west-facing signals.

Hope everyone’s Xms Holidays were/was good, and ‘Appy NuYeer!

Cheers
