Russ,

thanks for the heads-up!

What frequencies on 40M do the contesters hang out on?

I won't try to contest, as I'd be too slow, plus only can TX 850 Hz for now, but something to listen for.

FYI only.

You may find a number of RTTY stations on 40M!

 Nick,

I'll probably be at the Museum Saturday afternoon, so I'll look for KA2EKH.  Do you think he will be on around 7089? or 80M?  I'll be running NVIS antennas.

Thanks,

The 850 shift net runs on 7089 center frequency, mark low. So 7088.525 mark, 7089.425 space.
That’s 7087 USB with 2000+/-425 tone as per military standard.

Saturday 0900 Eastern for the East Coast Net.
This coming Saturday Ray KA3EKH will be operating from his military vehicle at the Gilbert PA military radio meet.

You don’t have to run military gear to join in the fun.

Is this day or night? The frequencies I use (on autostart) are at
https://w6iwi.org/rtty/ , though I'm normally just on 20 meter RTTY during
the day (and 40 meter CW at night). In any case, I'd suggest one of these
frequencies. Let us know, and we'll be listening.

Those are all 170 Hz frequencies, and you suggested 850 Hz. There is an
850 Hz net mentioned on here now and then, so you might use their
frequency.

Good luck! I look forward to a QSO with the station.
