I've been restoring a hamfest Robot 800 terminal unit. So far I've fixed the usual shorted tantalum cap and blown loop keying transistor.
Question - does this thing have mark-hold for no signal? It appears not from the manual saying it will print due to "noise" when there is no signal. It has "Autostart Mode" but that just seems to be triggered by the noise.
Does anyone have experience with this TU? Am I missing or misunderstanding something?

Otherwise it appears to be a pretty nifty unit and prints from the ITTY and N3CRK streams just fine.
FYI the manual is here -
