Here is information from another list on a "Tape Slitter" that can be used to make narrow tape for early tape printers.

Have fun,

I've ordered paper from Bart to make sure I had some but I've also been digging trying to come up with alternatives, as the shipping from Europe can be pretty stiff.  I stumbled on this thing the other day and ordered one.  It came in today and the first trial was pretty successful :-)  This is a vinyl tape slitter by Ronan.  I figured if it could do vinyl it could do paper!  And it does.  I think the blade could be sharper for paper but it did an OK job.  I used 1.75" cash register paper and made the roll you see in the photo.  They're small rolls, but will do the job I'm sure.  All in all, pretty satisfied.  I'd prefer that it had some set screws to lock the side plates in place but they didn't budge while using it so I guess they're not really necessary.  I'm going to try and find some 2-ply register paper and see if it does a better/easier job cutting that.
