There was one in Canoga Park on Saticoy as you remember and one very near to me on the southeast corner of Coldwater and Vanowen in North Hollywood (now an Armenian bakery). 

There is still Apex Electronics on San Fernando Road and near Lankershim in Sun Valley that has all kinds of things - parts and old electronic racks which are rented out to television and movie companies as props with only the lights flashing. That is a giant mess inside and a few employees or owners seem to know where everything is. It's amazing what they have in drawers and boxes in maybe 30-40 thousand square feet of space. A couple of months ago I went there to hopefully get 2 #4 ga insulated or uninsulated butt end connectors. It took someone all of maybe 15 seconds to come up with them at 50 cents each. Wire, tubes, mechanical things . . . it's always a surprise that they have it and a lot more.
