I live about 1.5 miles from All Electronics and have been in there quite a few times. Several of months ago I noticed that all of the "Not for Sale" old test equipment was no longer there. Recent reports from around here first said that they were looking for a buyer with no luck but were possibly negotiating with employees to buy it but not successfully so far. A couple of days ago I heard that there might be some arrangement finally made with employees. We will see.

While in high school (1960) I used to work Sundays at Thrifty Electronics also in Van Nuys on Burbank Blvd. selling tubes, lots of surplus capacitors, and resistors as well as other small parts. Al Ex's (the big boss) cigars were gross and I had to wash off that smell when I finished the day.
