A 14 chatters again!

The top / first code bar is not properly moving, and the bell I think is the paper warning arm.

I have a spare encoder that came with the spare printer, so I am going to do a transplant. It is only a partial encoder, but it has the piece that is broken on mine.

I have Mike Douglas's RS232 adapter ready to go, so once I address the 1st code bar I can send it some characters :)

Thank you all for the help!

Little update, I think I have the printer adjusted. Now I am struggling with the cam stack pushing a release out of the way at the right time to prevent the main shaft seizing.

Hi all, happy 4th for those in the US!

First, attached you will find my first attempts at 3d printed key replacements. These are on my GPE perforator. Not perfrct, but better than nothing!

This new model 14 printer I received appears to be further bent, or I missed an alignment when mating the printer to the main shaft.

I am about ready to try and go back to the old frozen up printer, which at least fully cycled properly. I am reading the manuals, but printer replacement instructions I have not found.

If anyone has any ideas before I begin deep cleaning the old printer, I am all ears! Thanks!
