I went ahead and sliced the STL from thingiverse in creality to doublecheck.

As you can see in the image, it sliced fine. The cone is to aid in casting in a harder material, again, my friend used JB weld to cast which was very effective but difficult to work with and degas.

What problem did you run into with your slicer?

Well, it is impossible to print with an FDM-printer, the model is not sliceable with any current slicer.

We built a model a couple years back. Works great, my friend cast it with JB weld and I used it in my 33.

Yepp that was the glyph I was looking for.

I am in the progress of doing a Cad-model of the typewheel, so they easily can be reproduced.

Unfortunately it is impossible to print them with an ordinary FDM-printer, so they have to be printed with an SLA/DLP printer, with a wax medium, casted in aluminum with the lost wax method, or milled in a descent aluminum alloy.

Now a friend of mine would like to test his milling machine and try to create a typewheel for me, when it is done, I will post the results here. (need to sort out some sort of camera for my microscope though).

Tomas,

Its likely the style of typewheel you are referring to.

The common ones were MA, ME and PS.

See chart attached.  There are more but wanted to keep the file small.

Hi group.

I am in the process to duplicate the standard TypeWheel for the model 33, however there is one glyph on the typewheel that I cannot understand nor decode, it looks like a superscript M with something below.

It is located on the upper row, between the exclamation mark and the paranthesis, in the same column as G 0 and P
