This is not a Teletype Corp. Model 15

it is a Western Union model 100 series, manufactured by Underwood for WU.

Time frame is the 1930s, not 1900.  WU was able to have them manufactured for about half the cost of a M15, but they were also not as rugged and they were only in production for abut ten years.
