Ethan Dick, a student of mine, set out this semester to make a video tour of a Teletype mechanism.  We kept finding problems with the machine and got distracted, but he accumulated quite a bit of footage anyway, and as the semester ended, he put together a very rough cut of the video he set out to make.  It's about 4 minutes long:

Beware, the sound levels are all over the place (beware of the slow-motion recording of the bell).  The clips aren't quite in the right order, some will need to be re-filmed, and we're missing pieces, but nonetheless, there are some fun bits of footage here.
