I have attached 2 photos. One shows the stop pawl and the piece it stops (hence the name) on the print shaft, and the other the piece the pawl stops where you can see indication of I think a break.

Because the stop pawl is not being caught, the FPR runs open.

I also compared motion on my type bars mech to the one I got from Jim and it is a world of difference. I will need to swap the printer, the mate on the code bars at the top of the FPR looks very straightforward.
