Hopefully someone here has better information, but the several Remex readers I worked with were all ASCII and parallel output.  They were part of computer machine tool controls (early automation)

Anybody using the Remex tape reader ( I was interested in the series 9000) ? Does it work for Baudot and ascii ?

Looking for manual please. Does it get connected into the local loop ?

 

I saw one in Eugene’s shack tour.

 

Curious about why all the interest in Navy equipment.  What about the army, air force, etc. ?

Since I am Canadian, I’m not familiar with all the military gear.
