Be careful about the 60 volt, that's mostly used for the margin or EOL indicator.  But, there might be some 28s out there with the two 60 volt in series for the copy lights.  It would likely be a rare bird though I would think. Then there were the ones with fluorescent lamps and the 48 volt (for central office operation along with a 48 volt motor) versions as well.

But, for most 28KSRs it's #82 for copy lights with either a 6 volt transformer with a dropping resister (10 or 100 ohm?) or a 5.5 volt transformer. And the EOL lamp is the 60 volt lamp with a 700 ohm resistor in series for 120 VAC supply.  I don't think I've ever discovered the OEM number for it.  I find it interesting that the ASR has a 6 volt EOL  lamp operated from the 6 volt supply, but never evolved into that configuration for the KSR.

I've bought a box of each on eBay.  I didn't think the prices were that bad.

As for LEDs, I could never find ones for 6 volts, 12 or 28 maybe.  I wonder what a 12 would do with only 5.5 volts as a source?  Also they weren't cheap.

A number I got off the ones on the ship were GE #82, 6v bulbs. I find it odd that they have dual contacts on the bottom while the originals were just single filament bulbs (I think). The ones you linked show 2 filaments, which could be similar to a 1154 (6v dual filament like for a taillight).

I see some on Ebay but they want $11 shipping for a pack of bulbs. Part of why I'm asking, is because it would be really cool to light up some of the other machines in the room, even if they aren't in use. (There's a couple waterfalls in there too, that I'm assuming likely use the same bulb). I thought I did good finding a bunch of bulbs in the parts units, only to find they were ALL burnt out LOL.

GA OMs;

Well - the life of these bulbs are pretty good.

But if someone can get a good quantity deal on them, at a reasonable price I'd be interested in taking 2-4.

Does anyone know of a replacement for Model 28 document bulbs, preferably warm white (simliar to original) but LED? I know I can search for the bulbs (and see a few) but I figured I'd ask here if anyone has tried any yet? These seem pricey!
