Cool!  Where do I apply?  <g>

The background on page 12 shows a classic Tektronix oscilloscope (another addiction of mine in addition to teletypes).  Looking at a reference I have, I believe it's a 512, last sold by Tek in 1953 (last catalog price $950, almost $11,000 in today's $).  The mention of the "Teletype Club" reminded me of stories I heard about Kodak and its myriad social clubs.  Kodak, Teletype, and Tektronix, for that matter, seem to have had similar trajectories.

I heard once that in the 50's and early 60's, engineers were paid as well as doctors and lawyers...  Anyone on the list have any direct knowledge of this, or is it a fairy tale?
