So in doing some research on Nick's never-ending source of information on Navy gear, I found that the pair of 28's we have on the ship (amongst others) are UGC-48A, which means they're probably geared for 75 baud. I guess can use that tester I found to verify. So I have a couple questions:
How hard is it to find gears for 45.45 baud for a model 28?
How hard is it to find the gears for the 2 additional printing reperfs they have inside?
Nothing wrong with 75 baud per se, just a bummer that I can't just get them on the air with the typical settings or use the RATT net to give them some exercise. We DO have a UGC-20A that should be 45 baud and I'm praying that's not trashed inside. Hoping to tune in the RATT net tomorrow with a model 15 though, I just can't transmit yet (working on it).
