I know for sure that the 33 needs more than 1 stop bit.  I don't currently have the option of generating a fractional stop bit, so I use2.

110 baud is mainly the result of Model 33/35 machines running at 100 wpm.
Those machines transmitted 11.0 unit code, so to get 10 chars/sec it
requires 110 baud.  I don't know if it was the 33 or 35 or both that
needed the extra-long stop pulse.
