Ive used a similar gadget (you can make youre own too) and theyre definitely fun. The firmware works with a variety of old gear.

I gutted an old 28.8 modem and mounted the board inside.

You might look into something like this.  I have not used it but I was thinking about getting something like this for my old VT-420 screen.

Hello all,

I finally got around to cleaning and getting my model 43 working again, and I have it communicating correctly with my Windows 10 PC via a serial port and PuTTY.  I'd love to be able to use the 43 as a terminal to connect to some BBSes via Telnet, but I can't figure out how to do it.

My options are to use the Win10 PC, or my Raspberry Pi clone (Libre LePotato).  I think the Pi probably makes more sense, but I'm pretty green with Linux.  I also need to figure out how to get my serial to USB adapter to work with the Pi.

Can you help?

Thanks and 73,
Greg K2GTM
