AH Finally saw this pic - I wonder if some older 1A2 style buttons would fit there! Personally, I'd get some good high res pics/scans to recreate it, and repaint it, and maybe get a t-shirt silk screening place to redo the art. I'm all about keeping things original original but thats really skimming that fine line of patina vs something else.1A2 style buttons like this (not the smaller clear ones the normal 33 TWX would have):JeffOn Fri, Jan 20, 2023 at 1:56 PM Eric Moore <mooreericnyc@gmail.com> wrote:Yeah, a 3d printed clip would make a lot of sense. I will add it to the pile o' projects and see if I find a roundtuit :).______________________________________________________________I have attached a photo of the panel. If I could find one more of those buttons, I could try making a transparent sticker wirh the printing cleaned up and removing the original damaged printing using acetone. Quite a project, but if a replacement is not available from a parts machine it may be my best option. Thanks all,-EricOn Fri, Jan 20, 2023, 12:26 PM Gillian Webb <thaeli@magfest.org> wrote:I need to make a similar repair. Was considering using Sugru, or 3D printing a new version of the broken off bit and epoxying it in.Not sure when I will have time, but the 33 "Teletype" metal faceplate looks easy enough to make out of an aluminum sheet and the printing something that wouldn't be hard to clone with a laser cutter and some Cermark. That stamped radius edge on the modem blanking plate would be a pain though. I'd be inclined to mill it from bar stock and paint to spec if the original paint can still be sourced, but that gets a bit more pricey.- Gillian
