Eric,

All good advice given to you.  I use Duco Cement to repair broken plastic parts.  Dont squeeze together too tightly.  The glue bonds by sort of melting the plastic.  Let dry overnight.

Dave Tumey has new front plates if you want to buy from him.  [email protected]

He also has new vinyl hammers and printer oil pads.

Doug Jones has done some A+ restorations and his advice is great.

I use lid w/window substitute; Plexiglass cut at my hardware store.  I dont do the bevel but if you tear the paper straight up it works fine.  Factory edge for the paper cut.

I do restorations as well with thorough cleaning and 100% mechanical operation but my covers not always as nice as Doug's.

Wish I could help more on parts but I am low and none on good cover pieces.

Paint.  I use Ford Gray that I find at Ace Hardware.  See pic.

Have fun,

Wayne
