I have done as much cleaning as I feel is possible without risking further damage. The paint is VERY fragile, coming off at the slightest provocation. That is why I thought designing a replacement clear sticker would be best.

The buttons look about 19/32" squared, and 7/16" high for the white plastic part.

What are the exact dimensions on that button? I'm pretty sure those same buttons are still used on some industrial equipment.

And thank you for the ref, buying from Dave is an even better option! I'm using vinyl tubing as a hammer pad now, is there any advantage going back to the original style?

I agree that's a rare plate and I'd be reluctant to modify it beyond a good cleaning and replacing the missing button. These units were often pretty beat up in regular service, or that's my excuse anyway..

Thank you Wayne, I shot off a note to Dave, if that does not work out I would love to potentially take a blank plate off your hands.

This plate, as you can see from the picture, needs a significant amount of work to restore. I will do another search for a replacement button now.

Eric,

I have some crummy blank plates if you are interested I will send you pics.

The plate in your pic is kind of rare I believe.
