I think that might be 2 separate functions. The auto CR/LF is
triggered from the spacing drum and can be defeated by either
removing part number 157972.
Or adjusting it to trigger on a higher number of spaces (80?) There's a ring on the back side of spacing drum with a tab that sticks out to the back that hits 157972.
The LF on CR was originally a Navy (?) modification, which does
involve the stunt box. I think it basically did just put a CR
function bar in the LF slot, but for some reason I'm thinking it
might be a little more to it than that. I believe there's a
specification that explains installing, so do a reverse?
I probably have spare LF function bars.

So I have been working on a 28 Compact KSR. It auto line feeds on a carriage return and when it reaches the end of the platen. The issue is that when printing pictures from ITTY its adding spaces ect… as it prints it also won’t overstrike. Now I have been reading some old RTTY Journals (Specificly Feb/June 1970) where it says that if you want Auto CR/LF you remove the normal CR function bar from slot 5 and insert a LF function bar in its place. Does that mean I need to find a CR function bar to put back in slot 5 to get rid of this feature?
