FYI, paragraph 1.e of specification 50178S tells you how to
disable the CR on LF.

Of course that assumes that modification (the Navy one and not
the RTTY Journal version) is the one you have.
Not having a 157274 clip handy the same effect can be had with
lacing cord or fish line, seen it both ways.
