Ahh I totally forgot about the here is drum...the one in mine is still coded to the prev owner. Wonder if I can 3d print one.

I ended up making a few more contacts; a couple in Ontario as well.

One weird thing I'm running into with the Dovetron TU - it seems the cross display and the "VFO"s on the front aren't super calibrated; I'm sure they prob need some love but it seems like if I have the radio in data mode (Yaesu FTDX-10), I -really- have to fiddle with it to get it to decode. If I use a lower freq range, like centering on 1500, it works great. (I set one of the pre-selectable ranges to that for playing on 2m repeater). As such I just left it there and used the spectrum on the radio (and/or Fldigi) to tune in the signals.

Jeff,

Made a few from VT as well.  Didnt specify "Heavy Metal" but my response was "using a 32 ASR".

Used the ARRL advice and never had to type on the kybd.  My AB drum is coded KB1FDW.  Responded to CQ with the "Here Is" key and then a tape in the reader after being recognized by DE.  25 watts on 20 meters Saturday and 20 watts on 15 today.  Much easier for me than typing.

Best contacts were Alberta, Canada--Iowa--Aruba-- Cimarron,Colorado and Dominion Republic.

Did you get any interesting ones?
