Sounds like it to me as well, but I have no knowledge of the Siemens machines.  Maybe Javier will post a couple of pictures.

thx, gil

Hi Gil,

This is a double current or polar machine.

Not common at all.

Henning and I are working on the Double Current interface for I-Telex.

Jeff Angus who lurks here from time to time has also had some experience with polar signalling.

Cheers
Sean

Subject: [GreenKeys] Siemens T1000 machine help anyone?

Hi folks:

I hope everyone is having a great holiday break!

I got an email (below) from Javier in Spain looking for some knowledge about a Siemens T1000 machine.  I added Javier to greenkeys to get him started.  Henning, are you the T1000 expert these days?

thx, gil

Hello My name is Javier and I am from Spain. I love the teletype world. I recently bought a siemens T1000 teletype I don't know how to connect the connector, I don't know how I can enter data voltage, I think it's 60 volts and 20ma, but it's -60 and +60 or both voltages? What voltage is recommended and current? I don't know which is the tty-tx and the tty-rx in the connector. If you can help me, to be able to connect my teletype to an interface and know which are the inputs of the ADo8 connector. I would be very grateful for all the information on how to connect and that it can be started. Later on I would like to connect via internet to other teletypes in the world. Awaiting your information and thank you very much for your help. Greetings.
