I’m Theo from France. I would like to write to you this message, because have contact Sir Cunningham after I have seen his YouTube movie about a Teletype who wrote a mail. This movie have fascinating me.

I am 25 years old, and all my life i have love only old things, phonograph, old phone, old disc, old gas lamp ect… I have all the time opposed the modernity of the informatics, to the « old world », the world that I dream. But today, I have understand that sometimes, computer are the solution to exit an object from the past. Today, only a computer can allow to use a Teletype in 2022. The problem is that I have a very bad level in informatic.

Yesterday I have found a French Telex of 50’s. A Sagem SP5A. I would like to know what solution exist to make it alive. So, do you think that it is possible for an « neophyte » like me to have the system with a Télétype who wrote my e-mail?

I have begin the cleaning of the Teletype. I try to not unscrew anything because i am scary to unadjust the machine.
