So after the MRCG West RATT Net Nick England K4NYW, Tim N6CC and I did a cross-country torn tape transmission.

Nick listened in on an SDR over here on the west coast and I listened in to an SDR on the east coast. 

As Nick transmitted from his QTH I Punched his transmission onto tape and simultaneously ran it through a TD transmitting from my QTH here on the west coast.  He was able to participate locally through the retransmission. 

It was good fun and as we perfect the process should mean that more can participate on each coast.   

I identified an issue with my TD (The switch that stops the tape when its tight is not functioning) this caused me to have to jog the TD to not break the tape coming out of the reperf.
