KLI running fork is 180 vps.

Motor speed is not too crucial and would not make it stop printing.

Selector magnet area is quite sensitive.  Don't worry about Range control initially, just leave it at about 60.

Oil or gunk on the selector magnet pole pieces most likely problem, but with loop off, check that armature operates properly.

You should be able to turn motor by hand while manually moving armature and get it to print (type arm may not come up all the way)

Good luck

I am assuming it is a tuning fork for a Kleinschmidt.  If it was one for a Teletype Corp machine it would not work very well.  I'm afraid I don't remember the freq of the tuning fork for a Kleinschmidt., but I have one or more around here somewhere, but I'd have to dig to find them.  Maybe better minds might remember.

Subject: [GreenKeys] Kleinschmidt TT-4C/TG not printing

I think I've exhausted my limited thoughts on this so I'll refer this to anyone who really knows what they are doing.

I've been trying to get a TT-4C/TG running.  I had it typing pretty well
until I adjusted the motor speed and now I can't get it to replicate how
it was typing.  (I know:  if it ain't broke, don't fix it.)  I have a
tuning fork and adjusted the motor according to manual instructions and
it is running pretty steady. It had been running a little fast when the
machine was printing. I can't get it to print ITTY.  It won't even print
garbage.  The magnets lock up when the loop is energized.  I tried
adjusting the range and armature settings according to the manual but
that hasn't helped.   It will type a few characters correctly and then
type garbage.  I've been trying to type RY's with one hand while
adjusting the Range setting with the other.  Not very easy.   I am
suspecting something needs to be adjusted with the armature because
sometimes it will completely stop typing, won't do CR/LF, etc.  If I
turn off the power and the loop it will still remain in a "locked" state
until I manually push down on the armature.  It was very dry when I
first got it and I've been lubing it profusely.

Thanks in advance for any help.
