I get lucky sometimes.

OK, I just came in from the garage to confess my embarrassment and oversight.
I was taking a close look with a magnifier and saw that the paper was indeed indented on the top half of the characters from being struck. I lifted the ribbon with my fingers while pressing one of the keys in question. It printed perfectly. Huh, the ribbon is not in the lifting forks... Dooooh!!!
It's with hat in hand that I apologise for my oversight and for the unnecessarypost to thelist.. And thank those that did respond so promptly!
John, you hit it right on the head!

A whole line of the same cut character may be a useful test, it seems there's a slant to the the line crossing the MNO.

I am havinga strange problem with a 28KSR. The characters that are physically in the top row of the typeboxonly print the bottom half of the character. That is, the H, M, N, O, T, 5, 9 and # are not all there. A picture is worth 1K words:https://photos.app.goo.gl/3ttqAgXf5nkvFqeb8
I substitute atypebox from another 28 and the problem follows the machine, not the typeboxitself.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks inadvance!
