Actually I'm sitting here looking at a ROTR that has the power backspace
I've not hooked up a switch to it, because I can't really see it
being too useful.
You are likely correct that the switch is either blank or figures
tape feed out since that would be more useful particularly for
auxiliary mounted reperf.

Tom, are you sure that is a backspace button and not a tape feed button on your panel? A reperf does not run backwards, and a tape feed is important.

It is a reperf control panel. Although my panel, besides the hole, only has two controls - a power switch and a backspace button (which does not work.)
