Hi Jeff.
Option 1. As you suggest, so check with Mr_RTTY for the
connector part number 152466. I use that method on my test bench
for both the keyboard and the printer.
Option 2. Wire straight to the terminal screws on the selector magnet coils. Be sure you get the polarity right.
Option 3. Get 2893WD (https://www.navy-radio.com/manuals/tty/wd/2893WD-6601.pdf) and see how the LESU is wired without a polar relay option. That's the way I've approached it on a couple of machines. You can have the keyboard and SM in series as the WD shows, or you have the option of separating them at the C terminal strip (C6,7 & 8,9?).
This option will require up ending the LESU to get access to the
terminal strips. Not a fun job, but once done you will probably
won't ever have to do it again. The 120 VDC power supply could
also be removed along with the polar relay module. I think
another option for the PS is having the 120 VDC available at the C
terminals, if you thought it useful. I'd have to go back to some
documentation, but I kind of recall 20 and 21 might be where you'd
normally see it connected.

Hi allWorking on a Model 28 machine, That uses a Polar Relay, I'd like to bypass all that Wizardry and wire the selector magnets straight into my 60ma. Loop. To do this I'm looking for the socket that mates the Selector coil plug! It's called "automatic typer plug" in the manual I have, 20pins female anyone have one in the spare parts box! If so let me know please,Thanks jeff W1AEA
