First of all, Thanks to all for suggestions about
moving a type pallet. I will tackle that in the
morning when I am not so tired. That is the
last thing I need to finish off this KSR.

Today I rang out the wiring and got the bell
to work.

Then I tried cleaning ten keys at a time in my
ultrasonic cleaner. The hardest part was re-installing
the keys. I ending taking off the typer, unmounting
the base and standing it up on its back. That made
it a lot easier to snap the keys onto the right places.
The first photo shows them about three quarters done.
The second shows the finished keyboard.

They are not nearly as nice as Kevin's, but will
do for now. I am a hunt-and-peck typist and I
need to be able to see the keytops. I could not
before. Now I can.

The next big project will be to replace all the
keys on my ASR that show fractions. I pulled
replacements for all those from a totally junk
keyboard.
