I am an iTelex user as well.

ITelex runs at 50 baud (66WPM), not 45. Your 32 should be geared for that unless the previous owner swapped out for a 60WPM gear, which hams sometimes did to use it on RTTY.

ITTY: the standard is 45baud, but more importantly uses the MIL char set.

If you hook to the EUROPE channel in my signature below, your telex machine should receive nicely. EUROPE is a channel that runs at 50 baud and uses the ITA2 char set, which is different than MIL. The frequencies are also different, so you need to set your TU correctly for mark and space.

So are you using the German Boxes or did you brew your own??
I have a WU Model 28 ASR and a WU Model 19 that were both Telex machines Bell J with Answerbacks
I'd like to hookup and play with them on the i-Telex as they are both *&%** annoying on ITTY with ' all the time. The 28 can actually switch Bell J Bell S or none.
The 15(19) I stick some cardboard over the bell hammer on ITTY.

I'd also want a semi authentic "Chicago/Detroit" WU telex number.

Does anyone on the list play around or participate in i-Telex??

i-Telex is an internet version of the Telex network.
