I've finally located the correct wiring diagram for my military M14 typing reperforator and after looking through TM11-2223, I find that a 40 ohm resistor is supposed to be in series with the 115 VAC 60 Hz line to the motor. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it really needed? Apparently the typing reperf was supposed to be used in conjunction with the 105557 Connection Box which included the resistor.
